Spa

Sun-drenched tropical beaches. Coconut palms and lush tropical trees and shrubs. Guests come to the Indian Ocean islands to relax in paradise settings and there is no better way to unwind than in one of Naïade’s spas, those temples to well-being.

Mauritius
Beau Rivage

The spa is a haven of peace, dedicated to beauty and well-being.  In a relaxing and refined ambiance, the complex offers a whirlpool, a cold plunge-pool, a sauna and a hammam, a hydrotherapy room (scrubs and wraps), 5 massage and 2 treatment rooms, a beauty treatment room and a hairdressing saloon.

There is a wide range of treatments and massages to choose from, using top-of-the-range European professional treatments (Matis, Charme d’Orient and Ahava) and sensual Asian therapies. Treatments aim to re-establish harmony between mind and body by balancing the flow of energies.

New experiences include the Abhyanga re-energising massage, which involves smooth, rhythmic, balancing movements and an abundance of warm coconut oil.  Another special experience is the Traditional Indian Massage, performed with cooling ayurvedic oil which releases tension, flushes out toxins, tones the body and leaves guests feeling fresh and energised. There are also coconut oil massages, the four-handed Ylang-Ylang, Thai and hot stones massage perfumed with essential oils from Madagascar. With scrubs, wraps and depilation, the range of treatments is almost endless.

Guests can also be pampered in the hairdressing salon, with classic hair treatments as well as manicures and pedicures.

The hi-tech gym facilities, in a room next door, are impressive and suitable for causal as well as more experienced gym users.

Legends
The spa
The Source is the core of well-being, with a concept based on a combination of thalasso and spa. There is no better way to bring your body back into harmony with itself than appropriate massages and beauty treatments, and no better way of removing the stresses of modern living.

Natural elements surround you, with the melodious sounds of nature, gentle music and cascading water in pursuit of complete serenity and well-being.

There are 4 massage rooms, 2 hydrotherapy rooms, 2 beauty rooms and 1 double massage kiosk which specialise in a range of scrubs and wraps. ‘Eternity’ is a double massage room, reserved for couples, with its own private garden and shower. The bright, airy complex also includes a hammam, a sauna, a high-tech gym and a hairdressing salon. In the centre of the spa, there is small garden with a salt-water pool, two whirlpools and masses of greenery.

The spa looks for the right massage, or combination of techniques, for you, specialising in Thai, stone therapy, reiki, ayurvedic, shiatsu and reflexology treatments. There is also the divine Shirodhara, a gentle massage of the back, neck and head before the benefits of an ayurvedic massage.

Fleur’s is a scrub using artemesia and passion flower, followed by the luxury of a desert-flower warm oil luxurious massage, for soft silky skin. The team of therapists has also created the massage exotique, using their own coconut-based products.

Facial treatments using plant-based products are also a feature, as well as oriental pedicures and manicures using water perfumed with rose buds.

Les Pavillons
Closed for renovation as from January 2008 until October 2008
The spa is a heavenly oasis of well-being.

The spa is arranged around 5 rooms, dedicated to massages, body treatments and hair dressing. Massages marry the beneficial effects of natural products with the exoticism of Indian, Chinese, African and European methods of relaxation. Combining rehydrating aromatic essences from Asia and from the Dead Sea, beauty treatments are beneficial and revitalising, leaving a silky feeling. The bases of the spa’s treatments are mineral-rich seaweed and fruit extracts, with marine essential oils and plant concentrates
It also has a sauna and a whirlpool in the middle of a tropical garden. A real haven for relaxation!

Merville Beach
Merville Beach is one of the few 3-star hotels to have its own spa. There are few better ways to add to your sense of holiday well-being than spending a few hours being pampered in a delightful setting.

The spa is decorated in colourful and sensuous shades of light purple and fuchsia and, combined with the tropical, garden atmosphere, you already feel so much healthier even before the treatment starts.

There are six treatment rooms dedicated to massages, 2 of which are double rooms, two single and two double garden kiosks.

The spa faces the turquoise lagoon and fringes an outdoor, salt-water pool, and there are 3 king-size double beds to relax on after treatment. It also has a double sauna and a double steam room.
The Maldives
Diva Maldives(opening in January 2008)
This spa must have one of the most unique settings in the world, where the wooden floors and fittings lend natural beauty to an airy and spacious location. Amber and blue-green shades of colour add to the atmosphere of tranquillity.

The reception area is open to the air under a thatched, timbered roof, looking out over the sand and lush tropical vegetation. There are welcoming water features, making it a pleasant place in which to relax before or after treatments.

The common areas include a boutique, which includes the Anne Sémonin range of products, a room for manicure and pedicure treatments, a cold pool and a whirlpool.

After the common areas, guests pass into separate ladies’ and men’s sections, each containing a  sauna, hammam, ice room, heated pool, a room for relaxation and outdoor showers.

Beach Treatment Rooms

There are 11 enormously spacious and opulent double treatment rooms on the beach, each with a terrace and a private garden area with an outdoor shower. There is a shower and separate toilet in each room and one of the rooms also has a whirlpool

Water Treatment Rooms

4 equally lavishly furnished and large double treatment rooms stand on stilts jutting out over the lagoon. They all have terraces over the water with outdoor showers and lounges. Inside each room is a steam shower and separate toilet and one of the rooms also has a whirlpool.

A special feature are the holes in the couches. As guests lie on their stomachs, they can watch fish swimming in the lagoon below, through a section of glass flooring. Rather more interesting than staring at a pillow or a sheet, and spectacularly more amazing!

Anne Sémonin products, which use only natural ingredients, are used in all treatments.
Everyone’s skin is unique and this is the philosophy behind Anne Sémonin’s treatment programmes. Therapists identify skin needs and demonstrate how to customise products to create perfect blends for optimum efficiency. Treatment can be carried out at home afterwards on a daily basis, to preserve the effects of the spa treatments.
