There is no building like it in Mauritius. Sir Hesketh Bell was a flamboyant character, at once an eccentric and a man of vision. The Villa (250 m²) is a real architectural folly, a clever mix of British and Moorish architecture with a Mauritian-style interior.
Now completely renovated, but with the original concepts scrupulously retained, the Villa combines contemporary comfort with the elegance of days gone by. There is a delightful little Moroccan-style courtyard, with a fountain and palm trees, and it is easy to become part of this dream world.
The Villa can be visited by those on a daytrip and incentive groups sip their evening cocktails in the courtyard or around the villa’s small swimming pool. But it also possible to stay for a night or two (or more).
Staying Overnight
The two bedrooms’ Villa with one dining room, one lounge, a patio and a bathroom, is the perfect escape, with beautiful surroundings, complete privacy and modern comforts.
